Indian Grass
Description:  A native perennial, this grass is noted for its beautiful golden plume head in September. Considered to be one of the most attractive grasses in the tall grass prairie. An excellent source of cover and forage. Average heights of 3 – 5 foot tall, and it produces the most foliage during July through September. Noted to be a very fluffy seed. Ideal planting times are between April 1 to May 15th, soils will need to be approximately 60 degrees for the seeds to germinate. Seeding rate of 15 – 20 lbs per acre.
