Lathco Flatpea - A Winter Annual
Description:  Performs well in a wide range of sites, road sides, banks, gullies, gravelly areas old mined sites. Noted to grow on steep slopes and gullies were grasses and clovers perform poorly. Provides a great source of food and cover for deer, small game animals, pigeons, grouse, quail, pheasant. Even turkey relish the seeds as a food source. Produces a viny above the ground growth habit, forming a very dense matt 2-3 feet in hieght. Small rose colored flowers blooming from June to July. Produces seed year round. Acid tolerant, low ph of 5.0. Plant April through May. A seeding rate of 20 - 25 lbs per acre.
