gives you lime, fertilizer and micronutrient recommendations
that more accurately fit your needs.
Nature's Own exclusive turf,
habitat and ornamental fertility recommendations let
you select one of the following four fertility management
options:
HIGH
LEVEL FERTILITY & MAINTENANCE
This recommendation option is used to improve soil fertility
to a high optimum level for the PLANT TYPE and AREA
TYPE (use) specified. High level fertilizer recommendations
will rapidly build soil nutrient levels to the high
optimum range. Select this option for the habitat, intensively
maintained turf, sod production, nursery production
and other situations where vigorous growth is desired.
MEDIUM
LEVEL FERTILITY & MAINTENANCE
This recommendation is used to maintain soil fertility
where optimum levels exist or to build to the medium
range for the PLANT TYPE and AREA TYPE (use) specified.
Select this option for routinely maintained residential,
commercial and institutional grounds, and other situations
where normal growth of turf, habitat or ornamentals
is desired.
LOW
LEVEL FERTILITY/MAINTENANCE
This recommendation is used to maintain low fertility
levels or build fertility to low levels when deficiencies
are found. Select this option when maintaining low maintenance
turf; ex. cemeteries, parks school grounds. It should
also be used for maintaining current health of mature
trees and shrubs.
NEWLY
ESTABLISHED FERTILITY/MAINTENANCE
This recommendation option is used to improve soil fertility
to a high optimum level for establishment of the PLANT
TYPE and AREA TYPE (use) specified. Select this option
when sampling is done prior to establishment (planting)
or during the first three to six months following establishment
(planting). |

SOIL
SAMPLING SUPPLIES
Soil testing "Packs" consisting of soil sample bags,
test request forms and return address labels are available
from Summit Seed, Inc. Other sampling supplies are also
available; see supplies order form for descriptions
and cost.
TAKING
SAMPLES
Instructions for taking soil, water or tissue samples
can be provided over the phone or via fax. Our Test
Request Forms provide detailed sampling instructions.
SENDING
SAMPLES
Soil samples DO NOT need to be dried first. Ship bagged
samples in our large bag along with the TOP COPY of
the TEST REQUEST FORM via a parcel service or regular
mail.
TURNAROUND
TIME
Results for routine soil analyses will be mailed within
12 working days after receipt by Summit Seed, Inc..
Media, water and tissue analysis results take 10-14
days.
SAMPLE
STORAGE
Soil and media samples are held in storage for a period
of 4 weeks. Additional tests can be requested on these
samples if needed.
REPORT
STORAGE
Test information is stored on computer or hard copy
for a period of one year.
INVOICING/TERMS
Payment due upon receipt of sample. Fees subject to

OPTIONS
LARGE
FORMAT TEST REPORT
This
two-part report form shows individual soil sample results
and graphically displays the average for a group of
up to ten samples. Fertilizer recommendations are made
on the individual test results as well as on the average
result. Well suited for multiple sampling locations
on the same property.
BASIC
TEST REPORT
This two-part reporting format is smaller and used exclusively
with the BASIC TEST PACKAGE. It shows individual soil
test results and lime and fertilizer recommendations.
Test results are graphically displayed. Ideal for companies
doing routine fertility maintenance on turf, habitat
or ornamentals.
